i had a crayfish that escaped. i found it monthes later. it was hard as rock and didnt smell. it was in a fighting stance. i still have it.
Yes, and it's very difficult to do it without getting tons of bubbles in it. I would say if you are going to use clear epoxy or whatever. Best way is to pour a little into the mold to start with. It gives you a shelf. Another note is that skulls tend to float in this situation. My solution is to have some pins ready to keep it pushed into the mold while drying. After the little shelf you make dries prepare a larger solution to fill the rest. I'll post more later I'm getting off work.midnight;1281729; said:those are cool

this is awesome, and can't wait for your thread.necrocanis;1280633; said:cool. I have done hundreds of fish skulls and skeletons. Actually hundreds from many different species of animals. check out the dead fish thread to see some of my work. If anyone is interested in doing this in a professional manner just contact me and I can help you out. Will be doing up a in depth mount your own fish skeleton thread sometime in the near future. Here's a teaser of a marble catfish skeleton I did, and a rainbow trout.
