My move to the Philippines

Too bad I'm happily married. I almost jumped and said you can expect another visitor coming there There's a big Filipino community here and I also work with several Filipinos. Filipinas (very feminine) and Latinas (passionate), two types that can steal your heart.

You're welcome anytime! But, as strange as the cold may seem to you if you are not accustomed to it...I think heat is worse! Most of my hobbies and interests take me outdoors; if it's cold, I can dress and prepare for that and still enjoy myself.

When it's too hot for me to function outside...what am I gonna do, sit indoors and look out the window? No thanks.

I'll take 40F over 40C any day and twice on Sunday.

I didn't know about your issues and I'm sorry to hear things have been rough for you but I'm happy things are looking better now. The Philippines is a beautiful place, hot as you said but beautiful. While the why is not similar my situation is. I myself considered moving there but the inability to own property has stayed my hand. I was going to suggest some supposedly cooler areas in the Philippines but Davao is supposedly one of them. My Uncle is currently in Manilla with his wife, visiting over there for a month. I'm hoping to go to Castillejos at the end of August.

You're a lucky man, your Nobya/Kasintahan(my Asawa assures me that is correct, but it is Tagalog and Novia is bride/wife in spanish so I'm really not sure.lol) is very beautiful and better yet she treats you well. I wish you and her the best of luck.

This was a pleasant surprise, a total reset of your life in a few weeks. I knew you were heading over there but didnt imagine it would be so quick and you would have a house and a new girlfriend in a matter of days!
Happy that you are going so well, you deserve a bit of contentment after the rollercoaster of the last few years.

Your new clean cut look has made you look a bit younger and slicker too.
As for the food, eat at busy places filled with locals and you should be fine, in my SE asia travelling days that was how i did it and very rarely had issues.

Probably every male member of the forum who has read this has spent a few minutes daydreaming about doing the same thing now..........

Cris is so strict with the financials, not allowed to go out and eat " why pay five times as much when I can cook for you". This is my second month here, and I can say this firmly, never going back.
Living in paradise, with a very feminine woman who takes care of all of needs and wants, without any kind of back talk, nothing. I ask to help her with cleaning, cooking etc, she says no this is woman work, go relax and watch TV.
