wow that is a nice pond

I wish it were mine though ^^ someday though, may be in a year or two when my paimas are that big heheheh i suppose i better start my piggy bank for it

Well, for those that are interested. The five paimas are alive and well. Fat but sluggish during the winter which is colder than last year (but sunny and not overcast).

Difficult to say whether they are growing but definitely chunky and fat :headbang2:headbang2 ... and smooth looking :naughty:. I am somewhat dissappointed with the color development progression...:(

Enjoy.

PS: update on my set-up and residents (which also includes paimas ...if somewhat smaller) later on

My neighbors paimas are still hanging on. I suppose they have passed several winters over here already. Like i mentioned before mines did not make their first winter ..... i thought they were big enough but i was wrong ... next year defiinitely will need to look for pool heater.

My neighbor does not use any heating ... the water in my outdoor set-up reached 16C. Talking about adaptation (that and his pond is in direct contact with sun light during the day, whereas mine is in contact during certain times of the day only)

You can see they are all huddled in the sun light

I wish I had 60 degree winters :(. Oh the fish I would have. Those guys do seem to be getting fatter and fatter. That would be an amazing pond to have.

I can't seem to catch the water change of this pond of late so i take a picture of monsters from the abyss hahahaha it actually look more mysterious when they pop up from the murky depth of the pond ... tough to take photos though. It seems he have been feeding them live fish since there are heaps of left over puny fishes.

Difficult to gauge how big they are now - you get hints only. I could not capture them properly on camera

Will do ... was meaning to do that, but it is quite painful to upload onto youtube ... but will bring some food along for video shoot. It sounds like shotgun shots when they suck things of surface lol
