Good news/Bad news
Good news: Got my pond armor from the local pond place today. Still no word from Butch @ pond armor. I think something is wrong.
I put down the pond armor on the areas that I think were leaking and will leak test again tomorrow.
Bad news: Old tank is leaking (Not sure from where) and it appears to be about 10-15 gallons a day at the moment. It's either at the bulkhead (Gave me problems when installing) or in the walls/floor of the tank itself.
I decided that trying to spend the time to fix that leak wasn't worth the effort at this time. I may change my mind and try to reseal the bulkhead sometime tomorrow but I am not hopeful about that.
How does this affect my current build?
Well, I will have to speed up what I am doing and that means skipping the background. Can't afford the extra 2-3 weeks to concrete the foam, cure it, and get the PH stable enough to cycle the filter.
So what's next?
if the leak test works I will put up the inner top walls, install the bulkheads, plumbing, and lights and start the pumps up to begin the cycle process. This could be done as soon as next weekend.
If the leak test fails again, I will drain and coat the entire tank with the remaining pond armor I have and that should fix it. Eliminates the guess work that way. Then after a 3rd leak test I can put up the inner top walls, install the bulkheads, plumbing, and lights and start the pumps up to begin the cycle process. Possible completion date of Saturday August the 13th.
