So the sanitred looks like it's not going to work out.

Doesn't stick well to anything I tried it on. Even though they said it would stick to acrylic I can easily scrape it off with my fingernail.

I might not have mixed it right, but if that is the case it's not something I want to mess with.

So, the pond is built and as soon as the temp gets into range I will move the fish over. Most likely by next weekend.

My next option I am working on, is I am in contact with the people who sell Max ACR epoxy resin and am working out a plan of attack that most likely will include a few of their products combined with fiberglass cloth on the walls and bottom. Will know more about this plan mid next week.

Is it not cheaper just to fiber glass the whole thing?

I'm glad you're giving the epoxy/glass some serious thought, I think it's the only realistic option at this stage.

I did some quick sums on you're tank last night and in Scotland it would cost around £520 for four layers of 200gsm plain weave cloth and west systems epoxy, which I believe is just over 800 dollars. A very good investment if you ask me!

I'm assuming you're talking about polyester, if so it would be cheaper but with epoxy you don't have osmosis to deal with 10/15 years down the line.

If you need any help/advise on the 'glassing front I would be more than happy to point you in the right direction.

Was going to make a bad joke like "just like women" to try and cheer you up but that would have been wrong and inappropriate right?
