Was up until 1am moving fish to the new pond. Woke up at 5am for work only to find that 90% of my fish are dead.

Looks like all the clown loaches, the FRT, all the ID sharks, 2 smaller flag tails, 2 smaller balla sharks, and maybe a pike survived.

Doing a 50% water change now even though nothing was out of range even this morning. Only thing I can think of is there wasn't enough O2 in the pond to sustain all the fish. I had 2 XLRG bubblers, 2 pumps through the filter media, and another circulation pump near the top.

What a horrible month I have been having.

Jeez.... bad luck, sorry to hear.
such a quick kill (with all that water flow) sounds more like a toxicity issue. Maybe something on the plastic, maybe something in or on the bucket.
Not chlorine or loaches would have bought it too. Maybe some sort of cleaning product residue?
Did any concrete or concrete residue or dust get into the pond? Alkalinity spikes can be wearily targeted in affect.

You're able to heat a 950 gallon pond with two 300 watt heaters? I have been debating how many heaters I'd need for mine.

And dude that sucks... sorry to hear about the rough month you've been having. I couldn't imagine if that happened to me...

Oh man, I am so sorry for your loss.
Hopefully you have all the leaks sorted and you can soon start moving the remaining fish into their new home.

I'm SO sorry to hear about the loss. Been through that and its a heartbreak every time, especially when you have such a major project underway for your animals. Well here's to hoping things pan out.

Vld,

That totally sucks, moving fish especially big ones is risky at best. Your not on a good run of luck at the moment. I wish you the best going forward.
