Water quality shouldn't be a problem for me. Since the incident with my rays I've become particularly pedantic about that. I'm gonna try some floating pellets tomorrow. He isn't acting up or anything so I guess that's a good sign

If you've been trying food daily try feeding him nothing for a couple of days , this way with no food present it should spark instinct to grab it once it senses it again.
It may not work I'm just thinking along the lines of how we get them onto pellets in the first place

Actually sounds like a good idea. I just hope instinct doesn't cause him to smash the scat and monos. They'll end up being the most expensive feeders I ever bought lol

Ultimately I guess that's the risk I take by giving him tankmates to begin with. So far he hasn't lost any weight if that means anything

How long has he not eaten for now then steve ? Yeah tankmates is always a gamble I'm in the same boat at the min , yours don't seem too bad though my old jar would have ate all your tankmates within the hour ;):D maybe its the introduction of the new tankmates that's started the hunger strike ? Just a thought fish can be very picky sometimes

It's been 3 full days now. I never thought that it could be the new tankmates but u do make a good point about it. Maybe he's just a bit moody about sharing the tank now.

Don't worry about three days mate my old jar only got fed twice a week once fully grown but big feeds , it'll be OK for a few weeks before becomes weak I'm sure it'll eat something before that happens natural instinct kicks in

Thats actually the opposite way in which I feed my fish... I usually give them lots of small meals throughout the week with the odd starve-day.

Something unrelated with my tank... This morning I saw some baby bristlenose on my glass. this tells me I've still got a pair of calicos running around after I thought I gave them all to my brother for his tank. Lol all that driftwood in my tank... I'll never find them
