Wow I hadn't seen this latest update. I bet those lush plants really keep the water nice and clean for your goldies.
Thanks hydro! Yeah they're keeping great conditions, I only have to do water changes once a month and thats really just to replace water evaporation...

A few weeks ago I lost about half of one of my leather fern... Any ideas why?

Still staying lush overall tho...

I think I have aphids?? A few of my Mangroves and my Palm have this sticky/weepy fluid on the surface and all these little "scales" developing all over...

Can anyone recommend treatments that are fishtank friendly??

Those little scales are actually bugs called scale....its how they got their name if possible i would take the plants from the tank and add a few drops of dish liquid to a spray botle of water it smothers them.....if you cant remove them they should wipe off with a bit of careful elbow grease..
...nice plants i especially love the papyrus

Thanks basskid! I actually just heard about scale insects and I think you're totally right. I tried rubbing them off with a cottonball and alcohol, but it seems a bit too rough for the leaves so I think I'm gonna try taking them out and soaping them...
