Lol thats it:confused: I thought you would be using some sort of awsome asian brand of fish food that cost a ton of money:D. Anyways those silvers got so dam good looking under your care. Oh yeah how do you get the reds in there eyes to come out, this is my first time seeing this in silvers. Is it your lighting? camera?

Been using hikari since day one on them and they will go crazy for the foodsticks. As fr the redness on their eyes, I guess it's the constant light exposure in the tank and diet? Well, I just hope they gorw up big and nicely in there.:D

I only use white light alone for them and camera? mine is just a 4 mega pixel DC which I need alot of help from the extra bright lights in the tank for pictures.

hey koji what is the difference of biogold and biogold+
I got no idea about this. But well, I can get the plus easier than the rest actually.

oh and what ratio do you feed that at?
I will feed 70% cichlid biogold plus and top with the tropical foodsticks.

hey kojicongrats, really nice silver aros.
I wish mine gets that color.
May I ask you some questions ?
How do you make them eat 100% pellets/foodsticks ?? and since when ??
My silver has about 6" and so far he only eats live food.
I tried this one:

but until now, no good results.

tks and keep up the excellent work

Mine are slightly smaller than yours when I first got my silvers. Infact I get them piece by piece over the time thus size different is slightly around 1 inches.

And ever since, I have been giving them pellet and foodsticks only. You can try starving it and occasioanlly give it pellets or foodtsicks to try out. They willa ccept it eventually. Even my current green aro is eating pellet and foodstick since I have been keeping it with the silvers.

Think alot will ask how to bring out the colour of the fish. The most simple trick is to keep the aro in a dark background tank. Black is the best background colour for aros will try to blend into the enviroment.

If possible, have the 3 sides and the base painted black for the aro regardless of breed. And they will exhibite good colour.

Another trick is the light set used. and the long hours of light exposure will also help intensfy the colouration on them.

White light work best on :
Silver / Black
Jar / lei
African Aro
Gold
G1.5/G2 red
Green

TFC (pinkish light tube) :
G1 Super Red

Other combination like (1 x White FL + 1 x TFC) will work well on all except G1 red.

Hope this help.

tks koji, trying to starve him a little so he start accepts pellets.
till now, he just look at it and don't care.

They are smart fish. If they're smart enough to choose what to eat, they won't be dumb enough to starve themselves to death:D
