JESUS CHRIST I LOVE YOUR TANK. How much did that cost you?? and btw, you can still put a jardini in the tank. As long as the other fish are big enough and can hold their own, it should be fine. I've raised jardini arowana for over 10 years, and I've kept around 10 pieces in a 900 gallon and they're doing fantastic with the other fish.

Thanks. Tank all up (lights, filter, heaters, black diamond quartz gravel, log, stand and everything plus delivery) was around $15k. Was not cheap.

What other fish do you have with the jardini's? I had a jardini a while ago and never knew that they were extremely aggressive as he was with small fish in a 200g tank and very peaceful, he was in there since about 2 inches and grew up with the other fish. Have not kept one since reading other people's experiences with them on this site. Assuming mine was an uncommon placid jardini. They have a rep on here as being serial killers...

Thanks buddy.
Yeah I am planning on getting some cichla, there is not many varieties in Aus though. Or even thinking of getting a pig nose / fly river turtle......(but might be a risk for the AUL)
I can never decide...

I think you should get an arowana. Black aro if you can find or afford it. If not a silver would look great also

Thanks will look for black aros, though i think they would be impossible to find in Australia. A lot of monster fish on these sites are not easily available in Australia unfortunately.

I don't believe with only some pothos you can get nitrate =0 with all your big fishes.
Can you take some photos of your pothos?
Thanks

The tank is pretty under stocked (compared to most on the site) the only big fish at the moment are the lemon barb, pearsei and AUL.
Will try to get a pic when home from work. Have a few plants in their now as they have grown quite a bit.
Nitrates have constantly been reading between 0-5ppm with weekly water changes.
