I'm guessing Design?

Thanks all. Still not a whole lot done, got wet dry in place. Had to cut out a bigger hole in plinth which needs to be fixed for strength. Will post pics later today.

Hope you enjoy the tank. People sometime throw barbs at me for spending the amount of time I do with my tanks. But I tell them I work everyday, don't use drugs and handle my business. So if this is what I am into for happiness so be it and my lady agrees.
True. My fam say 'you spend too much on my fish and dogs'
I don't mind spending heaps on them, we have to try to enjoy life as much as we can. Lucky my partner aggress as well. Building our dream house we will be in for ages, so might as well make it exactly how we want.

Thanks, we planning to staying there for ages, and won't have much chances to build a tank like this again, so want to make the most of it!
I do IT work for my state government my gf does policy work (she the major bread winner as she says, but I'm the major bread spender ;) )

Thanks heaps. The pics don't so it much justice it really looks awesome from back and front. Another huge advantage is have a small room outside that leads outside.
Good luck with your future tank, mine is not cheap but well worth it!

Nice, very nice!
I can vouch on prices of live/dry goods there. I was in Sydney in 07' & visited about 3 shops. If if could get the $ that fish or even fish foods over there here, I would be very well off. Pair of shell dwellers at one place were $100. where as I sell them for $20 or so? I know my fiancés family said I should move there & open a shop like mine.

Looking forward to see it up & running.

Thanks, I think prices have only gone up since then! Dont get me started on anything rare/special.:(

If you going to open a shop in Aus I reccomend Brisbane:naughty:

Just a quick update.

Some pics of the sump, that took ages to get it under the tank. The plinth will need to be repaired before filling the tank with water.
The rest of the bio-balls will be added later, they are in another tank, so they are already covered in bacteria when the tank is ready.
I love the double rotating arms.

The weir has also been drilled and bulkheads are in.

This is a pic of some of the plumbing, this will be the outlet from the filter, this setup should maximise water flow by pushing the water from the open end of the tank to the weir in the opposite corner, will see if this is enough flow, or if I need another sump outlet. As you can see it is all covered and hidden from view.

I dont think the plinth will be repaired till late in the week, then I will be away at work for the whole next week. :( I am hoping to get it set up and filled with water before then, so I can run it for the week I am away.
