Natural habitats of cichlids

I don't think this has been posted before. I love the basketmouth (acaronia nassa I believe) that appear in this one.
 
Any recommendations of aquascaping a dovii tank.? I have red lava rocks, fake colorful plants in there but advise would help
 
Nice, I was only looking at some of those yesterday.
There just the right size for a nice display.
What size tank have you got them in Dan?
Any planned tank mates?

Only got my big tank at the moment so there in it. Have a small shoal of Pristella maxillaris and a few Corydoras aeneus, still trying to decide if I will up the numbers of the tetra and corys or add some different spp.

Sounds like a great set up in the making. I can imagine a large school of the pristella would look very nice.
I believe nannostomus nannostomus are quite wide spread in Suriname.
Apistogramma stiendachneri is also native.
I think you've got some great species to choose from.
I'm sure the tank will look great and I look forward to seeing it.
Good time of year to be setting up a new tank. Loads of free decor falling off the trees.
