Curly whiskers on catfish is 99% always a water quality issue.
How long has the tank been set up?
What are the water parameters?
What volume of water, what occupants?
Water changes at 30% per week seems fine, assuming with dechlorinated water of similar temperature. And again assuming you vac tank gravel(it does look tidy in the photos).
Also I do need to get a test kit I’ve alway sent it on that aspect just stayed on top of water changes and made sure to keep tank tidy I was in the hobby for about 2-3 years got Out and now getting back in I couldn’t stay away lol first time I’ve had so,etching like this happen in my tanks

You definitely 100% need a test kit. The absolute bare minimum testing tool you need is test strips. Better yet, get an API Master Test Kit which will provide you with more accurate readings. If you can't afford that, then the test strips will be just fine.

Great! I don't know how old you are, but if you can drive, I would highly reccomend driving to the pet store ASAP and getting some test strips to at least get some knowledge on your water parameters; depending on what you use to order the test kit, it could take weeks before you get the kit.

Unfortunately there is not a fish store or anywhere to get strips within 1.5 hour i wont have time for at least a few days quicker if I just order it

Oh...oof...not even a Petsmart or Petco? Well...you mentioned you've not been using a water testing kit for a few years, so hopefully, your fish will be ok for a few more days. Just do plenty of water changes regularly and do a TON of research on potential sicknesses your fish may have.

Do you have another tank, large tub, or bucket to quarantine your fish in? It may be stressful for the sick fish to catch and move him, but it could possibly prevent your other stockings from getting sick.
