Need Help

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Oh...oof...not even a Petsmart or Petco? Well...you mentioned you've not been using a water testing kit for a few years, so hopefully, your fish will be ok for a few more days. Just do plenty of water changes on a regular basis and do a TON of research on potential sicknesses your fish may have.
I really think that it is Epistylis

I’ve been reading and reading so every other day water changes as well as dropping my tank temp from 76-78 down to 68-70 I’m hoping is enough to clear him up he’s currently the only affected fish and it’s been 2-3 days now

If it survives the corse it should take about 2 weeks to clear up and the fact that he started eating again makes me feel much more confident that he will pull through

Little update, I did a 80% water change 2 days ago removed all my old substrate and replace it, removed all driftwood from tank and unplugged heaters. Tanks temp was around 78 now staying about 68-69. Doing a 50% water change tonight. Catfish has made improvements. stil a little lethargic but most likely the cool temps. the stuff that was all over him is about 85-90 percent gone the blueness over his eyes has starts to go away and back to normal. I added some aquarium salt in with water change.
