New 300 acrylic tank. Help!!!

Thanks egon still need to get the hood built and work on the sump but i have filtration working so they will be done in good time. How ever picking up this guy sunday all 18" of him.
So was looking at my stuff to put the sump together and came to a realization. The two holes I was planing on using for my return spray bar sit just below the slots for my over flow. So back to using the smaller returns that are located inside the over flow box.
I'm not really sure if there is anything i can do but i was wondering if you guys new of anything i could do to help with my fish's coloring. The last tank they were in had the blue background so they came out really bright and showed lots of color. With the new tanks back ground being black they are becoming dark and as a result loosing some of there color. is there something I can do to help lighten my fish up.
its a solid black piece of acrylic so thats not really an option unless you know something i dont

Moved a bunch of the slate around to eliminate caves to get the rtc to move more. then decided to take a bunch if it out of the tank. I also moved the flower horn and the red devil to the 125 hoping to get a mating pair.
