This whole bracing thing is going over my head, so i'll stay out of that, but have you any updates on what media you are using or pumps? What kind of liner are you using? I really want to see this thing take shape as its been awesome seeing a tiny hole in the ground turn into this!

X, I'm getting there but this hole is just going, gulp, gulp with the finances, I only have to look at the thing and it drains my account

Thanks for the diagram, I was actually going to brace it a bit more but the plan is very similar:

---- = marine ply 3/4 inch thick
| = 3x3 posts
\ and / = corner strengtheners

All done 3 times top middle and bottom, but on all three cross beams I'm going to sledge in a 4x4 post and add the brace to that.

Hope that is a bit clearer.

very nice, definitely good to beef it up extra like you plan on doing. it'll be sure to last a long time that way

First off here the sketch for X that's been doing my head in all day, looks like a major format is needed on the main pc, setting up the render took ten minutes getting it to render took all day

You can get the idea from the sketch, the 3/4 marine ply would go on both sides of this sketch, it's cut away so you can see the plan for the brace inside, vortexes in the holes, obviously:

Wow that rendering just for me? How thoughtful lol.

Its a shame this pond is going to be just for koi though. I'm not a huge fan of them, I would do channel catfish and depending on your climate you could maybe pull off shortnose gar.

But if you like koi then i suppose that would be cool to you.
