New project, will take a long time

It must be the run off, from the rest of the yard that's getting in the dig...
Maybe some sandbags and a tarp will keep you dry enough to get r done?

The problem is the hole itself, water is running through the sides from the rest of the garden. We've had non stop rain for the past week and it's just not hot enough to evaporate.

Today has been a total wash out, every time I start it just rains again, I get covered in clay fall over etc. then it stops and there is more water to deal with which means more falling over in the wet clay:irked:

So that is it for today another day wasted all down to the weather, I must learn the art of patience but at the moment it's just massive frustration after massive
frustration.

I see...well let's hope for enough dry weather that you can get some headway...I am really enjoying this build by the way, and in the end it will have been totally worth it....:headbang2

srsly bro.. my backyard is dryer than mars... i vote you just give up on doing this in your yard and do it in mine.. :)

Thanks man, I've got my Dad around tomorrow to help again so we'll see how we do if it stays dry, I did promise some better shots of the hole link so I'll get them up so everyone's got something to see

Chester, your tales of endless sun and dry weather are going to make us fall out;)

Lets see, Monday off, Tues-Sunday in work, I'll nip round week Monday what's 5500 miles between friends;)

The shots on the other side weren't great so here is the view from hole 1:

Then a frog turned up in hole 1:

Closely followed by frog 2:

The old pond is full of them, frogs, toads and newts hence why I didn't do the obvious thing and use the old pond for digging waste until they had moved into the new one, I just wish they'd wait until it was finished. Apart from waiting for the weather to be clear, when it is I spend half the time moving them back before our cats get them:irked:

Some peoples' kids just can't wait till the new pool is done...:D:D

I will take the rain we have had 10 prarie fires this week in our fire protection area. (i'm a volunteer fireman) and it hasn't rained in over a month. the temp has averaged above 30C. I am doing a rain dance and for some reason it keeps sending it to you I would gladly trade for a month or so
