New project, will take a long time

That's a rap for this year, just wasted a weeks holiday to try and get it finished. The pump is out and the air turned off for the winter. The filter system has suffered from some serious frost damaged and is leaking badly from places too cold to get to, due to the water movement it wont freeze but is beyond zero. Everything will now be rested until the spring when I can get the rest of the flags down(not complicated at all) and sort out the filters and algae bloom. I'm hoping the winter chill will take care of the algae and it will clear up some, as for the leaks, they will be sorted out in the spring. If I can get a new job of course:nilly:

Stay tuned it will get finished:)

so what's the plan during next winter when there's fish in it? i dont remember what was decided?

Depends if I can get a new job or not. Perplex covering to hold in the heat

i just spent the last 4 hours reading this whole thread. now ive subscribed:popcorn::popcorn::popcorn: can't wait for stocking time:headbang2i have a few koi myself although not in a pond this big, but i built it by hand, but there was not much digging involved (the advantages of a half above ground pond:grinno:) and i had alot of problems with leaks that i had to reseal the pond several times (concrete base and paint on liner) and then i eventually found that this was not the cause of the leak, it was in a pipe that was underground going to the filter, though luckily it was not under the concrete.

again cant wait for the fishies!!! especially the sturgeon!!!:grinno::grinno::grinno::headbang2:headbang2:headbang2:popcorn::popcorn::popcorn:

That was lucky on the pipe front. Thanks for reading any pics of your pond/construction?
