Thank you,
This strain of KOI has scales only down the back and 1 row ea side on the lateral line...the rest is scale less.

well i finished the whole thing. thanks for the replies. I see that the UV is next on the list and I did end up seeing some good perspective shots. It's really awesome. Fish or not. I'm actually stupid when it comes to fish. I dont know any names other than the simple "koi" or "catfish" etc. I dont know what is a good fish to recommend and usually just breeze over that part of threads anyway.

When i start my monster tanks (getting there. got some supplies already) i'm sure i'll be more interested in what lives in it. I'm more about the problem solving and logistics that are required for each build. This one had/has them all. Great read cover to cover, and i'm glad..super glad actually that a mod did a clean up before i started on it. Really made reading a breeze and fun.
Thanks for taking the time to read it all. It will be finished soon, glad you enjoyed the rest of the pictures

yah, but that gray hole is what i'm talking about...is that normal?

The thread goes on..... the thread goes on..... Wow this has been a lot of work. And I'm just talking about reading 81 pages to this point.:ROFL: Seriously though, great work my back hurts just thinking about it. I have a project like this planned in about ten years time when my young ones are older and less of a drowning hazard for them. Very very cool. i can't wait to see it all finished with fish in it.

is a missing scale a big deal? doesn't seem like it, but certainly looks like it could be an issue

No not at all...all fish will loose scales from time to time...they'll regenerate, and grow back...
