New to Central & South American Cichlids

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I think you could just barely do a male JD, but it would not want to share a tank this size when it gets large. Males are more aggressive in general. SO if you want the BP and sajica, female JD would be a better idea IMO.

Bristlenose pleco would be a good option, Raphaels are actually not very active, 90% of the time they sit under a log.

Thanks. I will let you know what i go for.
Glad I've joined monsterfishkeepers forum :)

Thanks... Advise taken on board (only I wanted to get a male JD as it will have more colour.
I may risk it...!? But will look at some other options like the smaller Cichlids which you originally suggested.

I just wanted to let you all know I went for the Green Terror in the end.
Bought 2 males and see which grows to be the most impressive.
Just deciding on a schooling fish.
Thinking danios/Cuban tetras/buonos aires tetras so far..

Went for 9 Cuban Tetras, 15 buenos Aires tetras and 5 zebra danios in the end, today... Will get more Cubans but will see how it goes first... Green terror already chasing them all!
