This weekend was full of action. We were doing the final touch-ups. Cleaning splatterd cement off of the rocks. The kids were tired of waiting for this to finish up. The bog was repaired and the rock put back in.

I re-planted my plants that had been in a couple buckets of water for the last week.

We tried to clean as much of the dirt out of the rocks as we could. What a job.

What a weekend!

The frame work was put up for the rancho. We decided that we needed a roofed area in order to really enjoy this whole project.

We continued laying grass down. Wow how the green helps the look of a yard. The black yard just didn't do it for me.

I found some other plant that I though might work in the bog. Some of these dudes were hard to get the dirt out.

I got some cool plant called turtle back something. I thought they went well with the greenish color of the large rock.

I got some more ferns for the waterfall, as well as Jesus Heart.

We're finally filling up the P/P. How exciting is this. I felt like a major dork walking out every hour to see how the filling up process was going. That started Saturday morning at about 10:00am. It's now Monday morning, 8:00am. What a weekend.

The water is still pretty murky because I havn't been able to run the water through the filter yet. The bottom drains empty into my filter a little too high. We'll see if it works. I might have to do a little picking and lower the tubes.

The final water level will need to be about half way up on the stepping rocks of the bog.

A little murky now, but once you fire up the filters, it will clear up in no time. I find if I can rinse the rocks/gravel/boulders a couple of times, then use an old pump to pump ot the dirty water from the pond, it helps with the initial flow of dirty water coming out of the bogs and filters.

Keep an eye on the pads. Let them get a little dirty before you rinse them. They work better at trapping particlates when a little clogged. obvisously don't go to long w/o a rinse, or back flush in your case. Can't wait to see the air in action.

Well done sir.....

Thank's guys. I'm still a little nervous about the water level getting up around the rock work. We'll see how many leaks I have.
