will you have the water going to another tank before running back to the main tank or is there no risk and it can go right to the main tank??

one pump is setup to just recirculate the water in the filter...keeps it clean and the bio media washed

then i will divert up to 1000 gph of tank water into the filter and return the same amount of nitrate reduced water to the tank. this provides at a minimum 1 hour retention time in the denitrate filter.

then i have a stenner dosing pump which has variable output to tickle the carbon food source into the filter.

well if one wants to remove a kg of nitrate every 24 hours it takes a lot of media or 10000 medium mango trees

you could have fed a small village with 10000 medium mango trees or sell them to make money for fish food... haha j/k
