Updates? Did I miss them in another thread?

This is a great read. Very informative. The only problem is it's missing the last chapter. Come on John do we need to put your face on a milk carton or what ?

Holy shxt!!!!
What a set up just for a nitrate remover, whole different scale to most of us,i am not worthy.

And a bump too.

Okay, so to throw a redneck wrench into this technical thread, what kind of opposition am I facing if I fill a PVC pipe (say 12" long, 5" diameter or so) with hardwood chips and seal it up, with mild mechanical filtration on entry and a weak powerhead pulling water through it slowly? If I keep it submerged in the tank and stir the chips once a week, could it work or am I just asking for toxic trouble?

Wow. If you could build a tank to pump all the fishs' solid waste to, you WOULD have a small scale treatment plant. A digester would produce methane and you could burn that to heat a heat exchanger for tank heating...the sludge from the digester could be dewatered and composted, sold for big $$...perpetual. People on this site amaze me every day...I am humbled.
