Oddball's Oddballs (Updated:3-28-15)

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
This is a really bad pic just for size comparison. The 2 Polypterus sp. Koliba up front are 15-16". The endlicherii is pushing the 18" mark. Sorry for the haze. The tank received a big dose of immuno-vit this morning.

This is another update pic of my sunshine oscar pair that further disproves the rumor that this strain fades as the oscars mature. If anything, they're more yellow now than when I bought them as 2-3" juvies.

Here's a little texas I rescued from a disgustingly filthy hole of a petshop. Above it is one of the long-fin oscars. You can't see it's long dosal and caudal fins. But, you can get some idea from the size of its pectoral fin.

That's an a. adonis, not a[n] l-090.

He was listed as an L-090. I can't recall seeing juvie adonis with no spots or pattern. Check out what he looked like last year. I'm not arguing the ID. Just not well versed in these cats as I am with oddballs.

sorry for the quality of the pic. He's in a plastic catch box. That rock behind him is a small piece of gravel.

Moved some tanks around today and shot a few pics while they were filling.

Here are a couple of update shots of the african FW black porgies. Their fins have all healed up and they're displaying a bit of color flash now.
