Offical Pike Cichlid Photo Shoot

Thought i would post a pic and a video of mine.

coolest cichlid thread.
Please keep this thread going. Man i have owned some pikes and i want my Xingus back. these are the coolest genus of cichlid, bar none.:headbang2

Wow! Impressive! Not many people have semis. :) Like the 'accented' upper lip! :)
 
love the pikes peanut. my noto's dont display the black band across them as dominately as urs. different variants?

obsession ~ Where did you get yours at? I got mine from Grey off of Aquabid. Its possible they are different variants, but I think its mostly due to the dark tank and their aggression towards each other. The female was flaring at the male in that picture if you didn't notice, so they were both on aggressive stance.

In the 300gal where I have my two males right now they aren't showing the dark band as much now. Lighter sand, lighter tank, more room/less aggression. :) Watch the video I put up here in the pike media lounge. You can see that they are much lighter now. :)

i got my from shark aquarium. picked up three. tank was kinda diseased and only two made it. so i have two females. I'll try to post some pics later.
