My bad... I know nothing about guns, but I think the gun he has isn't a shot gun it's not that big. It is smaller black in color. Maybe a hand gun or pistol? Not sure.

I asked him and he said it is a pistol. He doesn't have a shotgun. I am not good with naming guns.
