Best Buy will discontinue selling music CDs....does anyone still use them?
I still use CD's for my games
But do you still buy and play them in your vehicle anymore? That is what I should have asked...more specifically.
Hello; I still use and buy them. I have maybe 900 or so. Seems the way to collect music.
A story. I have ripped 500 or 600 onto a computer and then burn selected songs onto blank CD's. I carry the copies in my car and truck to listen to. The copies get lost or damaged and I can burn another.
Another story. The computer I used for around eight years crashed it's hard drive. I got a new computer but all the ripped CD's were on the crashed hard drive. I have the original CD's and thus can still play my music. What happens to the music a person collects if it is all on some device and the device fails?
Note - I had all my stuff backed up on an external HD so did not have to rip all those CD's again. Of course I can rip hem again as I do have and own the physical CD's.
