Anyone see the rabid coyote thing in I think westchester ny?
They killed one coyote,one is still on the loose,6 people have been bitten so far,the one killed tested positive for rabies.
Apparently rabid animals are common in the tri state area.
One thing is should clear up: there is a untrue myth that coyotes,opossums or raccoons seen during the day time are usually rabid,this is actually well within there normal behavior,instead look for animals that "don't look right" or move in odd ways,and I e found there's usually something wrong about there eyes.
If you see a " odd " animal get away!
