Agree to this, get a good bow with broad heads and take out some cats at nightThe groundhogs won't be digging anywhere on my property as the few that were in this area has been either killed or chased off by the dogs that a lot of us now have.If there were any around I would simply trap and relocate them.
Killing off native birds is a bit more of a crime than digging up a few garden plantings.

Hello; Yes to this. Robins keep trying to nest in the rafters of my open sided stick built carport. I knock down the nests as they try to build them. Two reasons. One is they dump on my truck. The other is cats climb up into the rafters by getting on the roof of my truck and eat the young birds.
This spring they did not try to nest in the carport and picked a spot on the back porch. I left them alone and last week all four young birds fledged.
Pretty sure robins are protected songbirds under the migratory bird act.
How about putting up a few bird houses around your property?Pretty sure robins are protected songbirds under the migratory bird act.
Hello; I guess this is correct but the neighbor hood cats do not seem to care not one whit.
If you mean that I should not be knocking down the incomplete nests then I do not get the point. If I let them finish a nest in my carport then the cats get all the babies. They eventually find a better place to nest and I leave them alone. One year they built on the crook in one of my gutter downspouts, that was fine as the cats cannot get them here. They were safe on my back porch this year and under a roof.
Hello; thanks I will take you up on that. Sure come on down and put up some bird houses. I will help. How about putting up a few bird houses around your property?

Ive noticed some kind of little brown bird looks like it's trying to set up a nest on the rafters of my front porch.I had a bird every year try to put a nest in one of my house exhaust vents. I'd go out and rip it's nest out. I finally taped it up.
Take pic, if it's a house sparrow blast it.Ive noticed some kind of little brown bird looks like it's trying to set up a nest on the rafters of my front porch.
