Berserker

Berserkers were warriors renowned for going berserk on the battlefield they wore animal skins such as bear .wolf or boar, this warned that they might kill allies if they got to close.

Berserkers were said to be impervious to edged weapons and fire during their berserker rage, only blunt weapons seemed to have any effect on them.

When in a berserker state they would sometimes perform odd behaviors such as shield chewing,howling like wolves or striking random objects like trees and boulders, one account stated that one such man bit a chunk off his shield,ate burning coals,ran thru a fire and having thus done all to prove his insanity killed ten men in a duel

Ha my old partner used to call me berserker and Riggs. That braught back some good ol flash backs. Some of the idiot inmates thought my real name was Riggs haha even tho I wore a name plate
