I honestly couldn't tell you - but I damn sure hope so!
Seriously though I don't know. My ex's uncle is in the army as a sniper and he's a pretty good shot so if the rest of the soldiers can shoot like he can I'd assume they're not too shabby.
My mate is going for a firefighters roll in the reserves. I really hope he's accepted. After being homeless for almost a year I think it would do him some good to be working in a productive roll like that.

I spent most of my adult life as an NCO in the army and part of that as a drill sergeant. I was qualifed expert with rifle and pistol and went to the marksman observer course.
That being said, most troops aren't particularly handy with their weapons in the context of sniping things. They're far better than your average civilian by a long shot, but "suppressive fire" isn't exactly the same thing as a 3/4 mile sniper shot lol.
