Haha

The day started rough, 20 degrees colder in the house then the thermostat is set at. Drafty windows suck. So my first project today has been putting up plastic. I’ve only done the windows that draft the most so far, but it’s helped. Only 9 degrees till the house is back up to temp:)
It’s my fault, I should have covered the windows at the start of the season.
Fo you have wood frame or vinyl windows?

Vinyl and wood. Surprisingly the vinyl ones that are newer leak the most.
.....sounds like they are cheap, rental unit grade windows.I live in an old house and we have the same issues with our windows.I also seal them up with plastic sheeting every winter.I am late this year and havent gotten around to doing them yet lol...for the bedrooms I usually get the type that you tape into place and harden it with a hair dryer.

Yep, nailed it exactly. This house is old and was a rental for a number of years. The maintenance guy was a real nut job and did patchy work. So it’s been fun finding all the stuff he did and having to fix it right.
I use the same plastic sheeting too. But I didn’t bother using the hair dryer this time. I still have the second floor windows to do.

I'll get them switched out for better windows some day but I have about a total of twenty to change out lol.

Yeah that’s a lot.
We have 17 and a door. Maybe in a year or two. We just had the septic done and a new roof. Need to recover a bit. Lol

Anybody hear about the ANTIFA guy pulling a handgun out on a cop at a school in Oregon? The stunt didn't end well for the antifa guy.
