Yeah, rumor has it he is going crazy.

Yeah, crazy, and with all those buttons he has at his disposal, very unnerving.

The US and the UK need to send in crack seal teams to dust his arse before things get really scary. But the NATO situation that the Ukraine find themselves in, or lack of, means nobody can do diddly squat, other than send them weapons and aid. Allied boots on the ground just can't happen, currently.

From our perspective it's just as well they aren't a NATO member, because if they were then WW3 would be inevitable.

But then again, would Putin have invaded if they had have been a NATO member, and then suffer the consequences.

You just can't call it with Putin. He's seriously unhinged, and the second most powerful guy on the planet. Scary times.

I just find it hard to believe that those countries will just stand back and allow this to go on....NATO or no NATO.

I'm with you on that one, for sure. The small print of the NATO agreement should be overlooked in these type of circumstances. But it'd make an absolute mockery of the NATO membership if the member states went barging into any old non member country as soon as they got in a spot of bother.

The thing is, as it goes on, and I'm sure the Ukraine resistance will mean it will indeed go on for some time, then I think NATO will have to make a serious call on the whole thing.

Hello; To put boots on the ground in Ukraine could escalate the conflict. Not clear yet how far to go with that. One thing for sure is it will check off a lot of boxes which can pull even more countries into the fray. Say a NATO country joins in and their country gets a beat down, what do the other NATO countries do?
The way it looks right now all are willing to let him have Ukraine if he can take it. After he takes it, can it be held. Afghanistan was occupied by Russia for a while and that did not end well for Russia.
The USA tried the same sort of thing for nearly 20 years and we saw how that ended this last year. I went to the public memorial ceremony for one of the thirteen US service members killed in that withdraw.
Taking a place is not the same as holding it. Especially if the people continue to fight the invaders. A bunch of ground to air rockets that can be used by ground troops might be a key.

Last thing. There is a nuclear weapons power involved.

Party pooper....but seriously, that guy's got some set of marbles!

this isprobably breaking the no political posting rules but it’s meant to be light heartearted.

compare Zylensky out on the streets in a war zone with our Prime Minister doing a photo opportunity in a factory this week.
Apparently if it’s hard to see what you are welding then it’s okay to lift your mask. The guy showing him how to weld freaked out and slammed it down.
What a clown, the media were loving this earlier in the week. I bet he was blinking and rubbing his eyes in all the photos taken after this.

Hello; I do welding and favor my eyesight. Before the automatic welding helmets I struggled with seeing, but never looked at a raw arc.
