Looks like I finally found the right thread to post. The pic shows a RT Labeled fish from Petsmart(One on the left. and a Jack dempsey labeled fish (One on the right) Best pic.I can get of them side-by-side. Any thoughts? The "Jack" has some potential, he's actually much more red in person, as the "RT" is as green/grey/dull as you see in the pic.
The dull RT is bumming me out. I was hoping he'd fade, change color or anything at all but he's managed to not change at all. Should I give him time??

Glad to see this thread is still going strong. I've notice a huge difference in the red Texas at my local petsmart. They use to be very dull with no color, now they almost all look like red dragon zz flowerhorns!! I got one the other day and im gonna grow it up. The lady at petsmart said they changed up the "formula" for the red Texas lol. Idk what that means but I've yet to see a true unfaded or not red tex at my store.
