Official Petsmart Kamfa Flowerhorn Thread

Here is my beauty from Petsmart... I just posted in the media lounge yesterday asking if this was a red texas, but it's a Kamfa! These 2 fish were both sold as red texas... I think the ugly one is a female. Is there any way to tell besides venting?...

Here's another pic of my new guy. Any ideas on what it could be? There is a ~slight~ blotch on the side of the head, not sure if you can see it in the pic, but that sort of tells me it's a Kamfa vs a RT. I'm hoping Red Texas, but am VERY ok if Kamfa as well. I'm just shooting for a colerful fish and something that I really haven't raised before and I've never had either.

Nice looking fish! Looks like a red tex to me. The flower on his head is kinda a flowerhorn trait though. If it fades its got nice color and should look very nice. Wish my petsmart got fish that looked like that.

They had this guy at Petsmart, his colors seemed really nice but I couldnt get a good shot.

Looks like a fader, but his body a fun shape is weird. I would leave him. I've seen better quality flowerhorns come from the red tex tank than the ones labeled flowerhorn.

Picked this guy up yesterday, I really don't know much about flowerhorns but though he looked nice enough to add to the 500. What do you guys think?
