dude I got its sibling, too for $6 but I am in FLorida! Mine looks almost identical with tons of spangling. Cant wait for it to grow!

an update of my first one I posted. He has grown about a half inch, about 2.5" and is a little pale from battling Hex
. Its day four of treatment and he has been pecking at rocks and picking them up all afternoon and starting to eat really small food particles. His little tear drop has faded, hope it comes back when he feels better. Is it a male?

I'm new to cichlids. I picked this one up at my local Petsmart a month ago. I'm really happy with it even though I didn't get that $6 deal some of you got.
I can totally see how people go crazy over these fish. I'm looking forward to seeing what it turns out to be. Does anyone here have an idea what type of flowerhorn it is?

For whatever reason the Petsmarts that I've checked around me do not sell RT's, flowerhorns, or anything a flowerhorn could be mistaken by other than a JD. Anyone else have this issue? I'd like to get in on the $6 flowerhorn action
