I was disheartened after last night's episode. Didn't want to even watch the build the design made me turn the tv off.

Tank with a speed bag attached to the canopy, 2 basketball hoops on the canopy, and a pulley system for weights that are inside the tank.

Nope. Done, turned the TV off. Never watching that show again.

The episode where they built a fishtank in a baseball park and pelted it with baseballs was wrong. Starting to dislike the show a lot.

I watched the episode where they built a whole tank for a wall in a casino. Alot of people believe that the fish die after awhile, I'm not saying they don't die, but what about all the fish they put in the casino tank. You would think that it wouldn't be good for all the gamblers to see the fish die right in front of them. Any opinions?
Unles your a fish geek like most the people here.. lol... I'm betting most people are more focused on gambleing then the fish. though i'm sure whoever is "posted" near the tank is suppose to inform them of anything swimming funny/dead so it can be removed asap.. most people would be shocked how many dead fish are pulled out LFS tanks on a daily basis w/out much customer notice. Unless the whole tank went belly up it would prolly be pretty easy for dead fish to go unnoticed.

Wait wait wait.... They set up a tank within 3 hours for d wade, added 6 stingrays that ha just been shipped to the new tank and took it down a few hours later and boxed up the rays to be shipped again?

How about the tank that doubled as a skateboard ramp?

I counted at least 9....think they said 12. And saw signs of most of them w/ death curl, and/or obviouse signs of stress... it was very sad. funny how they went above and beyond explaining how the animals where so important.. but they did something so obviousely detrimental to those fish for a "star athlete" who "loves fish"...

the fish where taken to a local LFS... so I will give them credit for "trying"

I've seen about 10 episodes. It's a pretty good show, but the guys (especially the big guy) are bad actors and it's obvious they're being fed lines.

I also don't like how they rarely show any freshwater setups, and when they do, it's always some BS tank with rummy nose tetras and angel fish and gouramis. (No offense if you keep those type of fish). If they're going to make huge tanks, they should have huge fish there too, but they always make the FW tanks these little community setups that everyone has. It's like they're purposely trying to make FW less attractive than saltwater.

On the plus side, they make some awesome tanks. The one they made for Tracy Morgan was really good. They made a 400 gallon shark tank for him and they had an acrylic arm and leg that looked like they had been bitten off by a shark as the decoration - I thought it was kinda cool.

You guys forget that it's all edited for TV. Those time lines are faked for the sake of adding drama to the show. They aren't really tossing in fish right after they fill the tanks.

When I saw an aquarium made into a skateboard ramp that seemed pretty obnoxious. I got more respect for the hobby and the animals we harbor than to watch some chode ride a skateboard all over an aquarium. Our tank mates dont grow on trees and to subject them to the throw up a tank and overstock it in a day philosophy is superficial IMO. If they would make an aquarium into a skateboard ramp I wonder if they bother to run the complete cycle before stocking? Time is money and they're more about glory than animal husbandry IMO.
