Oh Deer!

Well by “dead bird” I mean pile of feathers. I doubt a large coyote would go after a small bird though.
A loner might but a group of em wouldn't bother. Coyotes aren't like wolves, most of the time they are all on their own. When ya hear em yipping and howling tho that's when the family is getting together for a big hunt. This is about the only time a coyote will go after game for larger then itself, otherwise most of the time it's after tiny things like rabbits, squirrels and the odd bird every now and then.

Lol it's honestly kind of freaky to hear over a couple dozen coyotes calling to each other and slowly converge together and then suddenly stop making any noise at all. The newfound silcence is the signifier of the start of the family hunt.

Here in the uk foxes are hated by many people. Especially the country types, farmers and such. But the past few decades has also seen an increase in urban populations too, so even town people with rabbit hutches or chicken coops in their gardens are also fair game for these opportunistic nuisances.

The reason they are hated so much is due to their "style" of killing. If one gets into a chicken coop it will kill ALL the chickens and take what it can carry in its mouth, typically one!! An extremely wasteful and devastating method of killing. I lived on a small farm as a kid and on occasion i witnessed this devastation first hand.

For the record though I love foxes, but if I decided to get some chickens in my back yard for eggs, or a couple of pet rabbits for my son, then in time, i'm sure I would come to hate them too.
Foxes over here seem to act differently then, atleast in my area. You'll rarely ever see one over here and when ya do it's usually out on the road dead. Weasels over here will do as ya described with chicken coops. Only downside to a weasel vs a fox is that it's far harder to make your chicken coop weasel proof due to their long slender bodies.

Yeah foxes rarely come out by me. I only see them occasionally at dawn, very rarely at day.
I’ve seen raccoons, but they are almost always roadkill. I think I’ve seen one up at day once or twice, which kinda means rabies.
I’ll smell skunk sometimes.
I’ll also get turkey occasionally.
Rabbits are everywhere, once found a dead baby rabbit in my pool.
Mice only really show up in the pool filter trap. Once or twice alive but usually not a pretty picture.
Frogs in both the pool and all over the place at night.
Snakes sometimes, I once saw one eating a large frog.
Had a baby snapping turtle in my pool once... should have kept it lol.

Where I live in PA we get foxes(rarely), deer at night or in the summer/spring, and geese. Geese are like the cichlids of the bird world. They'll murder you if you get to close. They'll try harder if they have goslings(every summer), and they're poop machines so I have to be careful when going fishing or else ye.

I live about 30 miles, as the crow flies, out of mid-town Manhattan, NYC. I live in the woods in a 4 acre/per home area which has several sanctuaries boardering the immediate area. I see deer, turkey. fox, tortoise, snakes rabbits, woodchuk, raccon, bear (not often). I have a lookout that works for me to keep me appraised of animal activity around out house.

Here is a picture of the front of our house. Note the utility pole in the very back

Now, check out my lookout.

We actually have deer in the UK, they are quite common in rural areas. But boy are they secretive animals. It is extremely rare to see them and when you do it's usually at distance. To take a picture like yours you'd need some pretty serious lens.

Your deer over there must be somewhat more used to humans than ours, and especially for the mother to allow her fawns to roam about too.

It's funny I live in the city not real far from some wooded areas. But a very busy area of the city. There's a side road that I take to work which is about a mile from where I live. The side road goes behind a shopping center with Walmart sam's and what used to be a Lowe's (?) also another strip with stores and restaurants. Again this is a very busy area. Recently I've seen deer (small heard), turkeys, ground hogs, rabbits, and I've seen a fox twice in the last couple weeks. The area is lightly wooded and large fields. Pretty sure if life as we know it ceased to be this city would return to nature quite quickly.
