Yeah the one in my hometown hasn't had fish in about a year, it could be alright if they actually invested in selling fish instead of capitalizing on some cheap product they found
 
what i did at 3 walmarts here. i bought all the living and the near dying fish and brought them home. they were all doomed when they were in my hands. its better they all die in my 5g tanks then walmarts 20g tanks
 
walmart did cut people to care for their tanks. the people are in charge of sporting goods, home repair and paint and pets. pretty much the entire side of the store here. i learned this when i explained the the guy that the tanks were on a central system and that he cant treat ich in just one of the tanks. and he had to treat all of them. i also told him it wasnt a good idea to keep a blue gourami that was about 4 inches in a betta cup with the blue water because "it was bigger than the rest" then he dunked his paint covered hands in the tank to dip out the dead fish. now they are all probably dead.end of rant.
 
First, I'd like to notice that this must be where TayHudson always posts. I stopped seeing her post so much on AC and then spotted her here. No Tay, I'm not stalking you. :)

Also, the Walmart here in hawaii does not take very good care of their fish. It's hit and miss. Sometimes we go there and the people there seem to know what they are doing but then we will go again and all the fish will be dead. I agree, they should not be allowed to sell fish.
 
Yeah The walmart here in my lttle city stopped selling fish several years ago. How ever I do remeber a time long long ago when walmart took good care of their fish. This has been at least 10 maybe even 15 years ago. They had a person that maintained the tanks at all times. I remeber going in and talking to Dorris. She was always their in the pet supply area. she took great care of the fish. Cleaning the tanks feeding the fish, and treating any illness. And I am sure many of you know. Some times the fish just come in sick. I am not saying that this is any excuse to neglect the fish. But times have changed. And I firmly belive big supper stores Like Walmart should live the fish and other live animals to the professionals.

I signed it :) What a great idea. And yes, I remember the same thing at the one near my house. It used to be nice and clean and always had someone there. I know all about the cutbacks. I wish I could go in and say "Just give me ALL the fish you have, I'll find a home for them so you won't have to see them rot in these disgusting tanks anymore."

I know, it's just terrible. I want to sneak bowls in one day and steal them all.
 
HAH once i have 3 180-220 gallon tanks ( just a dream ) and become rich i WILL go into the two walmarts we have and buy out ALL there stock and have them sign a piece of paper stating they will NOT sell anymore fish! ( this has been my life long dream! )
