DIY Filtration & Media
Since pictures say a thousand words, here are a few thousand words...

Tons of plastic straws: Great media to put in nooks and crannies that otherwise other media won't fit into.

Artificial grass mats

Scour pads, Floor Pads and Scrubbies galore!!

Sponge

Filter media sandwich of sorts:

Bore Holes in each of the plastic drawers:

Was gonna set it on a table already, like so:

but then the bottom drawer started overflowing,

the two 1" holes weren't large enough for the water to drain, so it started to overflow, so I just temporarily put it atop some plastic chairs

First "Real" Resident:
2' Iridescent Shark - Pangasius hypophthalmus

Hello, welcome to your new home

All this room for me?!

New Driftwood at the center of the pond

(maybe) only because your exit tubes are too close to the top of that drawer? if you made it closer to the bottom, the water level won't reach the rim?... just my thoughts ;)

still an awesome DIY 3 level filtration device... never would have thought of using a "cabinet" for that :WHOA:
