Here's mine, Beavis - he is 12". The one in the background, Butthead, is no longer mine; he was the meanest Oscar I've seen yet. Very few will claim to have an Oscar larger than 12", and when you ask for proof, it usually gets pretty quiet...

P.S. Venting is the only sure way to sex Oscars - grab 'em out of the water and look at their privates. You would need to know what you are looking for, heh.

Thx, I got him as a rescue from a LFS at about 11" almost two years ago, and he has picked up an inch or so with my TLC. He is great, takes no crap from the other cichlids, but doesn't start anything either.

my O's seem to not like others of the same color. but tolerate there opposite. white with a dark get along fine. anyone else have this?

my dark O tolerates the red and tiger but goes after the albino's. one albino had to be moved to the Q-tank cause he wasn't getting enough to eat and was shrinking. The tiger and lemon baby are in the Q-tnak to fatten them up.

All mine are between 4-4.5 inches, except the newest one which is only 2.5
Red, Wild Caught, Tiger, Platnimum (very camera shy - the only color on this guy is the eye spot), Albino tiger, Lemon (the baby)
