I have a koi pond along with two channel cats. I'm planning on bringing them in in about two weeks. but could some one tell me how to set up the pond for winter. it's been running sence March.

Here's my work in progress 2600 gallon. this pictue is from last spring I think. the main pond is 15' x 7' x 36" deep. Every year I add some modifications.

I hate how a pond sounds nice and the wood and frame take away from the inside dimensions My 8'x4'x2' also looks alot smaller on the inside than I would like.

This is my pond. It is about 25' x 45'.
I picked up three 22" PondBuilder waterfall filters and two PondBuilder 15" Elite Skimmers; this stuff is awesome - especially what they call the landscape lid. It's a lid that covers the waterfall filter boxes and you can actually plant plants across the entire top of the waterfall.
I just added an upflow bog that you can see at the left side of my pond; water is pumped from my skimmer into the bottom of the bog and then it flows up through all of the plants.
