I just cant capture the gill plates very well on the largest RTM but Im leaning toward a male since Im seeing some spots on him

This was a zoom in which totally washes out the color and spots on the gill plate.

This little guy is super personable. This is going to make an awesome wet pet if he keeps the personality.

Update pics of the largest one. Generally when I see growth at the rate I do with this one I would usually say male... but lack of spotting on gill plate and a couple other things make me think female. Color is starting to come in and for how much larger it is than the 2 others it is not overly aggressive yet.

Well this project had been interesting. Out of the 10 or so fry I started with, I now have 3. The phenomenal growth of one in particular had me hoping it would be a male especially since its twice the size of its two siblings. As the three have got size I also realized ALL three are female, lol. This kind of changes plans a bit, not sure what I want to do.
