Well im only on the 3rd page of posts but in case nobody else says it..why not grow some out a bit so theyre not mistaked as food and throw them in the pond/lake u found them from?? as well as breeding them to keep them going..

appaerantly the pond is already messed up. and since you already took them out just breed them and distribute. though i would get species conformation or like a new species conformation from like an ichthyologist or somethin
