Many of u have seen this famous photo several times over. But never heard of where it was caught. This PBB collection point was the Omo River in Ethiopa. Which empties into Lake Turkana.

To clarify. My statement regarding the 30,000 rm (Malaysian Currency) or 6-8k usd was to resemble JINN the YouTube Sensation Turkana pbb's. Price was the 'Asking Price' to bring in before this recent JZX Singapore Turkana arrival. Resulting them now being much, much less than i stated.
Price is actually just about double the Chad PBB in Asia. Which I believe is reasonable and fair. Resulting in a huge wave of interest for these Turkana Arrivals. Therefore, it's sold out and there's a waiting list. Lol.

Very good post - however, I would say no visible difference between those from Lake Omo and Chad PBBs. Are you able to discern any differences?
I posted some archives from Big'n Japan. For me. Both are very similar. The differences I notice is that Turkana seem to be of larger in size up to or near 30", and body frame mostly is a bigger mass and gut. Not many known Chad type pbb are larger than 24".
Could the size difference be attributed to them being caught at larger sizes ?
This is what i believe as Chad PBB often do push past 25 inches and seem quiet robust at that size.
Idk I'm thinking that the lack of any consistent traits among tpbb lead me to feel that there's no difference between the two. Unlike say volta endlicheri compared to Guinea endli where the bands areuch thicker.

Idk if they are the same, cause like what someone mentioned before the water or catch location is way too far from each other, and someone mentioned that lake turkana dont ahave alot of water way accsess.
IMO we would need to see alot more to really say differences. So many of the turkana we see are 25 and up and we do not see smaller sized 12 to 18 inch to compare them to. To me the the fish is probably very much the same but would need to compare similar sized pieces. Also maybe where the turkana have gives them that more robust fuller body but not seeing them in person it hard. Just between my 2 chads both are 22 inch one is thick with a fat square head and very little pattern, the other has a more slender build and very nice patterns. both look very diffferent from one another.
