PBB from Chad

My problem is they sell the turkana pbb for a high price but they look the same or very similar to chad pbb, so how do we know if we buying a legit turkana pbb that cost $8k usd and not a chad pbb that cost $800 usd?

+1

Different colors in variations not all fish are created equally some colors are based on genetics, diets, and surroundings. It’s just fish are born with different patterns and colors. There’s no physical difference between the two. I’ve seen chad with the same pattern and color as “Turkanas”.

I feel like there's nothing uniformed about these pbbs that's what's confusing me. We know a lap is a lap but we also know a Nigerian, faranah, or koloton will have x traits for the most part that will at least set them apart from each other in appeareapes even though it's the same species.

PBB color tones are going to vary. Safe to say we all agree. As an example listed in the photo below. This group are all NON-Turkana pieces. Some PBB specimens are very dark. Let's not forget that PBB are somewhat widespread. Its not just Lake Chad and the connecting tributaries.

As for the specimens that arrived in Singapore (JZX) my opinion at this present time. Is that they're too similar to the 'Chad' specimens to justify spending 9-10 times over. Unless they look like JINN Turkana pieces right off the bat. :--)

JINN 3 Turkana pieces (YouTube Sensation) . This piece is so graceful and floats when they swim. MY 2 Chad pbb did not do this. Just stating. Not saying it means anything, lol.

With regards to whether the JZX shipments are turkana or not, it's not for me to say. However, the fact that those PBBs were all snapped up on arrival (supplier is no longer Toyin, btw) by very experienced hobbyists point to the veracity of their quality and lineage so to speak @Dloks.

Hang on, which location is charging between 6k - 8k for a turkana? That's way overpriced even for a turkana @Polyaddict86 @Vancouver_98683

Attached are pics of one of the turk PBBs which has stablised somewhat - would be good to hear your opinions on whether it looks legit.

$6-8,000 USD or 30,000 rm (malaysian) or in SGD (singapore dollars) is what has been spreading around as for cost. Since you're there. Can u clarify. What's the retail to the general public listed cost?

These PBB pics are from Arron Low from Singapore. So this is the Turkana from JZX? Please clarify my question from my post. Once again, asking for the general 'walk in the store and ask. Hey how much for those Turkana PBB Prices ?'

I think it best that you obtain quotes from JZX directly, and not from me @Vancouver_98683. Also as previously mentioned, I do not think its ethical behaviour to disclose exact prices online (this is based on the assumption I know the prices, which I don't).
