That's great stuff my fish love it. Great stuff when they were small.

There's a stiky on getting them off live fish . hand feed it live fish have them take it from your fingers. Soon it will take anything from you. Patients? And a routine
It worked very well with my kells . having the Oscar in there is also a plus's they can teach other fish what is food. Good luck

Can you link the sticky on getting them off live feeders. Im on day 5 of starving 3 peacocks.. all they have ever ate was live minnows and goldfish. Im currently dropping cut talapia raw shrimp and earth worms.. they show no interest at all. There is a largemouth bass in with them as well, he eats the earth worms sometimes but doesnt touch the frozen foods. I have an oscar in a different tank that eats anything and was wondering if putting him in with the bass would help them get used to frozen food and pellets.

Yes "trainer" fish will cause the bass to perk up, especially one that is ravenous like an oscar.

Has there been any progress here?

I would have to ask what the sizes of fish are before pulling the trigger on that. I agree with what Rocksor Rocksor said, but keep this in mind in addition to what he said.

My Oscar ate 1.5 of my bass before I caught it. The .5 had lacerations around half way mark of the body so it was being chewed from inside the oscars mouth and escaped when the Oscar spit it out. So use caution if the Oscar is bigger than the bass.

Also another caution is the Oscar may outcompete for food so you may need to add more than you really want to in order to get some to the bass.

As for the link to the sticky- go to the bass section(which this is posted in) and it should be one of the top listed in there. You may want to start off with a frozen food such as blood worms or brine shrimp before going straight to solid foods. Then you can use the bloodworms to pellets thread (also a sticky at the top of chichla section) to go from there. Keep in mind every fish is different. My smallest bass taught my biggest to eat pellets and it’s still the smallest. They all learned at different times on their own terms.

Don’t give up, keep trying different methods. One thing I found to be super helpful while training was only drop a few at a time so they get used to being spot fed. Easier to train that way.

ty very much.. when you say only drop a few* so they get used to being spot fed.. do you mean the brine shrimp or if I feed more feeders... I just bought some frozen silverside shiners.. thinking since its an actual minnow.. might be more enticing
