don't worry much
the damn pangasius are always like that, the moment they are moved from one place to another or even removed from the tank and put back after a few moments they are all out hunger strike
I had two monster Pangasius before and after moving them into my pond, took them 10-15 days, this guy is 2 weeks short of TWO months. I just need to steady my nerves and reassure myself that these stupid things won't die from hunger! Grrrr, just pisses me off how these pigs (as piggy as Pacus) can have the inner drive to fast in spite of their monstrous appetite.

I love love love your pond. I have plans to follow in your footsteps as soon as we buy our own house (which hopefully will be really soon). Are there any problems you've run across? Things you would do differently? Do you cover it somehow? Do you have problems with evaporation?
Thanks for your kind words. Do drop by the build
thread for more details on the construction and challenges.
Problems, no major problems so far, thank God. Except that I hadn't designed on the pond to be an aro habitat thus do not have provision for lids, so one of the 30 inchers jumped out, that was with a tarp cover, now I don't cover it anymore, I figured, if they want to jump...then let them jump--free will!
Evaporation, no problem because the pond is beside a side door to the outside so, a constant draft comes in and out, no humidity issues even with a wooden ceiling. Still a work in progress, but so far so
good.
