Excellent job on the cleanup. What are you using to remove the calcium/dirt buildup? I think I saw your post say that the vinegar wasn't working to well.

thanks
the vinegar wasnt working cus i mixed it with to much water.
my pops said less water.
first i scraped off the chunks of salt with a razor blade.
then used a bucket of water and a rag and wiped inside and out.
then i used alot of vinegar and a lil water, just on the front glass.
"not sure if the vinegar really helps" lol :grinno:
im going to clean it once more cus the dirty water spotted the whole tank.
and i missed some spots.

It looks awesome stock that mother up and quickly.
oh i wanna stock it but im trying to not rush it. :)

probably going to change out that old carpet under the tank today and put blue styro board.
also do one more cleaning.
then i have to get my gramps over to check out the "oyster" in the glass.
the oyster is still there and loose. :irked:
dont wanna reseal cus of 2 spots. :irked:
all the other silicone is strong and thick.

wow, nice job cleanin it, i guess u don't need that extreme make over now, hehe. and nice monster fish u dropped in there, he doesn't look too happy though, haha

anyways, don't know if it's a good idea to use metal mesh for the over flow man...it'll get rusty and those rust can be bad
