oh,for the ones that dont know "cus i havent said it in this thread" lol

my gramps made all these tanks himself "along with my dads help on the big ones"

he has made tanks most of his life

"see why im into fish?" LOL

he would make an amazing tank,few months later get bored and sell it to maker another bigger better one :D

once he was hired to build every tank in a lfs,all the holding tanks and display tanks

Very good actually. People liked them because they were quiet. I think that the motors were made by the Singer sewing machine co. Had to keep them oiled.

It makes me remember when I started 30 odd years ago...but let me tell you from what I've seen in the pixs, your grampa was way ahead of his time....one gets the notion that he already was aware of latter day concepts and was trying with difefrent types of filtration..

Would love to know him!

he knew his aquariums,thats why everyone went to him :D
i love his side filter/overflow design :headbang2
i inherited all hit glass cutting tools so one day i might try to make a tank like these :D
and will do on more pix,later :D

no clue when he started making tanks but im sure it was way before these pix
the "brown" pix look to be from around 1978,or the 70's,i wasnt even born yet :D
and the newer pix were from the 80's-90's im guessing :)
